Türkiye’s Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources announced on 3 November 2026 that the YEKA GES-2026 competitions had concluded. The results table shows 785 MW allocated across 11 solar sites. The competitions, held at the ministry, attracted 44 applications from 19 companies. The announcement sets out completed allocations alongside expectations for future investment, electricity production and avoided gas imports. [Source](https://enerji.gov.tr/haber-detay?id=31961)

Allocations cover nine provinces

The sites are in Denizli, Ankara, Konya, Kahramanmaraş, Malatya, Diyarbakır, Mardin, Batman and Elazığ, with two sites each in Ankara and Kahramanmaraş. The largest individual allocation was the 200 MW Diyarbakır site, awarded to Egesa Enerji. The company also won Mardin-2, at 120 MW, and Batman, at 25 MW. İş Enerji Yatırımları received the 110 MW Konya allocation. The results therefore concern future solar installations across several provinces rather than a single power plant. Source

Market sales followed by a 20-year period

Winning companies may sell the electricity they generate on the free market for 60 months from contract signature. Afterwards, electricity will be supplied to the transmission system for 20 years at 3.25 euro cents per kilowatt-hour. The results table lists the same purchase price for every site. The announcement identifies contract signature, rather than the competition date, as the starting point for the 60-month period. Source

Contribution figures distinguish VAT

Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar reported total solar competition contributions of €37.9 million including VAT. The table lists €31.585 million, with a footnote stating that 20% VAT will be added. The headline figure and table total therefore use different tax treatments. The table also separately identifies contribution commitments per MW; these are distinct from the electricity purchase price expressed per kilowatt-hour. Source

Investment forecast combines wind and solar

Bayraktar said the YEKA RES-2026 and YEKA GES-2026 competitions together allocated 2,285 MW across 18 sites. For that combined capacity, he projected $1.9 billion in new investment, annual clean electricity generation of 6.1 billion kilowatt-hours and avoidance of approximately 1.22 billion cubic metres of natural gas imports annually. These figures do not refer to the solar competitions alone. They describe anticipated future outcomes, not investment already completed or electricity already generated. Source
